After completing the installation as described in the Navis N4: Installation Guide for Windows or the Navis N4: Installation Guide for Linux, you can convert data from your legacy system in order to have live data for testing prior to go-live. You can do this with an SNX import, which includes units, vessels, bookings, bills of lading, etc. You can also import equipment for a unit, such as chassis, accessories, and bundles. You perform an SNX import using the N4 client, which has specific requirements. See Implement the SNX import (on page 1) for instructions.
You can expect the process of creating the import data XML file for the SNX import to take several days or weeks, depending on the scope and condition of the source data.
